BG tries to advance to the Sweet 16 with a 7-player rotation

CRUNCH TIME



BG's senior class is down to its last few games. Their next loss will be their last at BG.

The class as a whole has combined to score 5,754 points in their careers.

The class has three 1,300-point scorers (Mann, Honegger and Horne) and all five have scored at least 500 points in their careers.



MAKING HISTORY



A win tonight would be the first ever trip to the Sweet 16 for BG women's basketball.

Sunday's win was the first win for BG in the NCAA Tournament since 1989 when Jackie Motycka led the Falcons to the second round.

BG is now the only Ohio team left in the tournament after losses by Ohio State and Xavier in the first round.



SEVEN IS THE NUMBER



Despite losing two players to ACL injuries and having another leave the team, BG cruised through the MAC Tournament and is now in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

BG's seven players average more than 69 points per game combined. That accounts for 92 percent of its scoring this season.

BG has had the same starting lineup in all 33 games this season.



DEFENSIVE MUSCLE



The Falcons have 349 steals and 104 blocks this season and have forced 637 turnovers.

Opponents are only scoring 57 points per game against BG.

There are six Falcons with 1 or more steals per game this season.



THE OPPONENT

Vanderbilt Commodores, 28-5 Overall (11-4 Southeastern Conference)

The Commodores finished third in the standings in the SEC. They earned their NCAA berth by knocking off Georgia and LSU on their way to a conference tournament title

Center Carla Thomas is 6-foot-3-inch and leads the Commodores with 16 points per game and more than six rebounds.

As a team, Vanderbilt shoots 44 percent from 3-point range.

Vanderbilt also boasts the nation's best 3-point shooter in Caroline Williams. She has shot 50 percent from long range on the season.

The Commodores are 5-4 against ranked opponents this season. BG is 0-1

There are three players that average double figures on Vanderbilt's roster and fiive players that average at least eight points per game.
