Since his birth in January 1950, Freddie Falcon has made it his priority to keep students at the University spirited.

When his sister Frieda was born in 1980, she added some feminine Falcon pride. Decades later, the birds are still intent on getting students excited about the University.

Freddie and Frieda are very excited about Homecoming and can't wait to interact with their fellow Falcons at this week's events.

Q: What is your favorite Homecoming event?

A: We love all of the Homecoming events but our favorites are the

Freddie and Frieda 5k run/walk, "Bird Bash", and the defeat of

Temple are our favorites!

Q: How many events do you attend during Homecoming week?

A: We will attend around 21 events and all students should attend every event, at least to come see us! We'll be there!

Q: How many events do you attend in a typical week?

A: We attend between 10 and 15 events per week. Plus we enjoy flying to campus on random days to visit with the students and faculty.

Q: How does it feel to have the job title of "school mascot"?

A: Unfalconbelievable. It is such an honor to represent the

University! We love going to the games and events to cheer on the

Falcons. There is nothing better to do while at BGSU than to be a

mascot!

Q: What is the coolest aspect of your life as a bird?

A: We love to walk through campus and hear people yell our names and want to take pictures with us. We also love to interact with little kids! Not to mention Wendy's! We love the Wendy's crew!

Q: How many years old are each of you?

A: Freddie is 55 years old and Frieda is 25 years old. And we are brother and sister- not boyfriend and girlfriend or husband and wife!

Q: When did you get a Web site, AIM screen name, and Facebook profile?

A: We are on the cutting edge of technology, right along side of

BGSU. We love interacting with the students and faculty on campus in every possible way, so therefore we have had all these things since they became popular.

Q: What are some of your favorite foods?

A: Birdseed, bubblegum, popcorn and Wendy's.

Q: Do you think that brown and orange match?

A: Of course they do! We're brown; we wear orange - we love the colors together-not to mention the way they go with the fall season.

Q: How many outfits do you have?

A: Too many to count- although we can always use more!

(Frieda loves shoes and pretty things for her ponytail).

Q: Are you ever going to graduate? Do you even attend school?

A: As long as the University allows us to be their mascots we

will continue to go to classes, sports events, and campus events- although we won't attend the badminton matches- we don't feel that a sport that hits birdies is very nice.

Q: What is something that you wish students knew about you?

A: We don't speak English - we can only speak Falconese - unless our translator is around we can't talk to you.
